Mercedes plans 16 new models 2026 — leasing impact

Mercedes-Benz is facing its most ambitious product launch in decades. No fewer than 16 new models are set to launch during 2026, with nearly as many planned for 2027. The news was confirmed in an internal document that was recently published.

What's coming?

Among the most anticipated models are a facelift of the S-Class, updated GLC and GLC Coupé, and a fully electric C-Class — the first C-Class without a combustion engine. The EQS and EQS SUV will also receive facelifts during the year.

At the entry level, the next-generation GLA with a pure electric version is expected, and Mercedes is consolidating its ICE and EV models under a shared design language.

What does it mean for privatleasing?

When this many new models launch simultaneously, outgoing models typically become more attractive on the leasing market. We can expect:

  • Lower prices: on the current C-Class, GLC and GLA that are being replaced
  • Competitive introductory offers: on new models
  • More EVs in the leasing portfolio: as Mercedes broadens its electric range
  • For anyone considering leasing a Mercedes, it may be smart to wait until autumn 2026, when the selection of both new and outgoing models will be at its peak.

    AMG and Maybach follow

AMG is also preparing new models, including an electric super sedan to replace the GT 4-Door Coupé. Maybach versions of the S-Class and GLS are also expected during the year.

Mercedes is clearly signalling that it's investing in both electric and combustion going forward — a strategy that gives privatleasing customers maximum choice.
