Zeekr 7GT is an electric shooting brake — or sport estate if you prefer — and it fills a hole in the market that very few other EVs do. There are virtually no electric estate cars to choose from today, and Zeekr is seizing the chance to be first with an affordable option.
Three versions from SEK 494,000
Zeekr 7GT launches in three variants ranging from SEK 494,000 to SEK 635,000:
This means the entry price of SEK 494,000 makes the Zeekr 7GT a full SEK 85,000 cheaper than the equivalent Zeekr 7X. Compared to the Polestar 4 (from around SEK 599,000) and BMW i4 Touring, the 7GT becomes a genuinely competitive alternative.
Impressive dimensions and practical cargo capacity
The Zeekr 7GT measures 4.82 metres in length — roughly 10 cm longer than a Volvo V60. The 290 cm wheelbase provides plenty of rear seat space, and the boot holds 456 litres plus 32 litres in the frunk.
The car can tow up to 1,600 kg, which is enough for a small boat trailer or caravan. This is an important detail for the Swedish market, where towing capacity often determines the car purchase.
Charging: up to 480 kW DC
One of the 7GT's strongest cards is its charging performance. With support for up to 480 kW DC charging and 22 kW AC charging, it ranks among the fastest-charging EVs on the market. In practice, this means you can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in under 15 minutes at a sufficiently powerful charger.
The Privilege version also comes with air suspension, providing a more comfortable ride and the ability to adjust ground clearance as needed.
Built on the same platform as Polestar 4
The Zeekr 7GT is built on Geely's SEA platform — the same underlying architecture as the Polestar 4. Development has partly taken place in Gothenburg, and you can tell the car has Scandinavian engineering at its core. Deliveries to Swedish customers are expected to begin in late summer 2026.
What does Zeekr 7GT cost in privatleasing?
Official privatleasing prices for the Zeekr 7GT have not been announced yet. However, based on the Zeekr 7X's privatleasing price of SEK 5,597/month, and the fact that the 7GT is SEK 85,000 cheaper, we can estimate that privatleasing for the 7GT Core should land around **SEK 5,000–6,000/month** for a standard 36-month contract.
We're monitoring this on PrivatLeasa.se and will update as soon as official prices are released.
Why Zeekr 7GT stands out
There are very few electric estate cars on the market today. The BMW i4 Touring is an option, but at a significantly higher price. The Polestar 4 has a coupé-like profile but isn't a classic estate. Zeekr 7GT offers the combination of space, performance and price that many Swedish car buyers have been waiting for.
For anyone who wants an estate car's cargo capacity in an electric package without paying premium prices, the Zeekr 7GT is well worth watching.
